CRITICAL: Your government-issued ID document is permanently deleted from our servers immediately after our Concierge team completes the verification review. We do not retain copies of your identity document under any circumstances.

IP Address: For security, fraud prevention, and to comply with legal obligations.
Device Information: Browser type, operating system, and screen resolution to optimize your experience.
Usage Data: Anonymous, aggregated analytics to improve our service. This data cannot identify you personally.

1.3 Information We NEVER Collect

Banking Credentials: We never see your online banking password, PIN, or card numbers. All payments are processed through your own banking app via EFT.
Location Data: We do not track your GPS location. The city you provide is the only location data stored.
Social Media Profiles: We do not access, scrape, or link to your social media accounts.
Contact Lists: We never access your phone or email contacts.

Identity Verification: Ensuring all members are genuine, age-verified individuals. This is for your safety.
Communication: Sending important account updates, match notifications, and messages from other members (you control notification preferences).
Security & Fraud Prevention: Protecting you and our community from fraudulent activity, scams, and abuse.
Service Improvement: Anonymous, aggregated data helps us understand how members use our platform so we can enhance your experience.

WE WILL NEVER: Sell, rent, trade, lease, or otherwise disclose your personal information to any third party for marketing, advertising, or any other commercial purpose. Your data is not a commodity—it is a sacred trust.

All payments made to Elite Companions will appear on your bank or credit card statement as:

There is no mention of "Elite Companions," "dating," or any other descriptive text that could compromise your privacy. We never store your full banking details on our servers. All payments are processed through secure EFT directly from your banking app.

5. Cookies & Tracking

We use only essential cookies required for the platform to function:

Session Cookies: To keep you securely logged in during your visit. These expire when you close your browser.
Preference Cookies: To remember your display preferences (e.g., filter settings).

We do NOT use: Third-party tracking cookies, advertising cookies, behavioral tracking pixels, or any form of cross-site tracking. You will never be followed around the internet by our platform.

6. Your Rights & Choices

Under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and our own commitment to your privacy, you have the following rights:

Right to Access: Request a complete copy of all personal data we hold about you. We will provide this within 30 days.
Right to Rectification: Correct any inaccurate or incomplete information through your dashboard or by contacting Concierge.
Right to Erasure: Request complete deletion of your account and all associated data. This is permanently removed within 7 days of your request. No trace remains.
Right to Object: Object to the processing of your personal data for specific purposes.
Right to Data Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
Right to Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent for any data processing at any time.
Right to Complain: Lodge a complaint with South Africa's Information Regulator at justice.gov.za/inforeg.

7. POPIA Compliance (South Africa)

Elite Companions is fully compliant with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (Act No. 4 of 2013) of the Republic of South Africa. We adhere to all eight conditions for lawful processing of personal information:

8. Age Restriction

Elite Companions is exclusively for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect, process, or store information from anyone under the age of 18. All members must verify their age through government-issued ID during registration. Any account found to belong to a minor will be immediately and permanently terminated.

9. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as your account remains active. Upon account deletion:

All personal information is permanently removed within 7 days.
ID verification documents are deleted immediately after verification review.
Payment proofs are retained for 30 days for accounting purposes, then permanently deleted.
Anonymous, aggregated data may be retained for analytical purposes—this cannot identify you.

10. Data Breach Protocol

In the unlikely event of a data breach, we will:

Immediately secure the affected systems.
Notify affected members via email within 72 hours of discovery.
Notify the Information Regulator as required by POPIA.
Conduct a full forensic investigation.
Implement measures to prevent recurrence.
